Crab’s Birthday
Mila's friend, the crab Krevi, has a birthday. She decides to surprise him with an underwater party. Along the way, Mila gathers friends, decorates a meadow, and comes up with fun games.
Mila was swimming among the coral when a little fish whispered in her ear:
— Your friend Crabby the Crab has a birthday coming up soon!
Mila immediately smiled. Crabby was one of her most loyal friends, and she wanted to do something special for him. She imagined decorating their favorite underwater meadow and throwing a surprise party there.
— It’ll be a surprise! — Mila thought, picturing how delighted Crabby would be.
The first thing Mila did was go to her friend Rocky the Dolphin. She knew Rocky loved helping friends and could quickly gather everyone for the party. She swam over and told him her plan.
— Hi, Rocky! Could you help me? Crabby’s birthday is coming up, and I want to throw a party for him, — she said with a smile.
Rocky bounced excitedly and clapped his fins:
— Of course! This will be so much fun! I’ll invite our friends and tell them about the surprise.
Mila and Rocky quickly divided up tasks. Rocky took on inviting the guests, while Mila went to find beautiful shells and seaweed to decorate the meadow. Along the way, she met Lumie the glowing jellyfish, who agreed to light up the meadow with her soft, magical glow.
Mila started hanging seaweed around the meadow while Lumie floated nearby, lighting up each detail. When the decorations were almost ready, more friends arrived, each bringing something for the celebration. Glow the Fish brought sea fruits, and Oswald the Octopus offered to organize games.
— I know a lot of fun games! — announced Oswald, proudly stretching out his tentacles. — We could have an underwater dance contest, and play hide-and-seek among the corals.
Mila gladly agreed, and they continued with the preparations. Soon, the meadow was beautifully decorated, and everything was ready for the party. The guests gathered, bringing gifts and lots of cheer. But the guest of honor — Crabby — still had no idea about the surprise.
Meanwhile, Rocky went to fetch Crabby. Swimming up to him, he casually suggested they take a walk without revealing the surprise.
— Hi, Crabby! Why don’t we go for a swim and relax on the meadow? It’s such a beautiful day, — he suggested, trying not to give anything away.
Completely unaware, Crabby followed him. When they arrived at the meadow, Mila and all the guests shouted:
— Happy Birthday, Crabby!
Crabby was overwhelmed. His claws trembled with excitement, and he didn’t know what to say.
— I... I didn’t know you would do all this for me! Thank you all! — he said, looking at the decorated meadow and his smiling friends.
The celebration began. Oswald hosted a dance contest, and each guest tried to perform the most creative underwater dance. Mila twirled with her friends, Lumie lit them up with her radiant glow, and Glow hummed a cheerful tune. Then it was time for hide-and-seek, with guests hiding behind corals while Crabby found them, laughing and enjoying every friend he discovered.
At the end of the party, Mila gave Crabby a small package. When he opened it, he found a beautiful shell engraved with the words: "For the best friend who’s always there."
— This will be my most treasured gift, — Crabby said, holding the shell close to his heart. — Thank you, Mila. Thank you all for this unforgettable day.
The celebration continued into the late evening, and Mila felt truly happy, seeing her friend smile and savor every moment. They all remembered this day as one of the most joyful and fun-filled they had shared together.
