Little Frog Flip and the First Rain
Little frog Flip experiences his first rain and learns to enjoy every drop. He happily hops through puddles and catches the raindrops.
One morning, a little frog named Flip woke up to a strange sound outside his window. He peeked out and saw that tiny drops of water were falling from the sky. It was rain!
“What is this?” Flip wondered. “Why is water falling from the sky?” Curious to learn more, he decided to hop out to the meadow to take a closer look.
When Flip leaped onto the meadow, he felt the cool drops of rain landing on his green back. They were fresh and tickled his skin pleasantly. Flip spread his little arms, lifted his face to the sky, and tried catching the raindrops with his tongue. It was so much fun!
“Oh, this is wonderful!” Flip cheered. “These drops feel so fresh and cool!”
Soon, the entire meadow was covered with tiny puddles. Flip jumped into the first puddle, and water splashed up all around him. He laughed and started bouncing from one puddle to the next, jumping into each to create as many splashes as possible.
“Splash! Splash!” echoed with each jump, and with every splash, Flip grew happier. The rain had turned the whole meadow into a playground, and Flip decided this was the most fun he’d ever had.
The little frog noticed that the rain was making everything around him shiny and bright. The leaves on the trees, the grass, and even the stones all glistened and sparkled. He wanted to touch everything and hopped over to a large leaf bent under the weight of raindrops. Flip held his little paw under the leaf, and water dripped down onto his hand.
“What if I could gather a whole puddle of water in my hands?” Flip thought. He started hopping from leaf to leaf, trying to catch the drops that trickled down from the leaves and blades of grass.
Soon, he noticed a tiny bug hiding under a leaf to stay dry.
“Hello, little bug!” Flip said cheerfully. “Are you afraid of the rain?”
“Yes, I don’t want to get wet,” replied the bug. “But it seems you’re not scared at all. You’re even enjoying the rain!”
“Of course! It’s so much fun! The rain makes everything around us so magical!” Flip replied. Saying goodbye to the bug, he happily continued his joyful leaps through the puddles.
As the rain slowed down, Flip noticed that the air around him had become fresh and fragrant. It smelled like wet grass, flowers, and something new he hadn’t noticed before. Flip took a deep breath and realized that the rain made the air feel clean and refreshing.
“I understand now!” Flip said to himself. “Rain is truly a wonder! It makes the meadow beautiful, clean, and so full of joy! From now on, I’ll look forward to every rain so I can jump and play in the puddles again.”
Flip leapt one more time into the biggest puddle, sending splashes all around him. He felt that the rain was his true friend, bringing him so much joy and fun.
As the rain stopped, the meadow was full of bright puddles, and Flip was full of happiness. He knew that now the rain was not just drops from the sky to him but a whole world of fun and amazing discoveries.
And so, little frog Flip became friends with the rain, learning to enjoy each drop that fell from the sky.
