The Halloween Celebration: Vanya and Friends at the Costume Parade
The children prepare costumes for Halloween and organize a mini-parade, enjoying the celebration, learning more about friendship and the importance of having fun together.
There was a special excitement in the kindergarten today: Anna Petrovna announced that they would be celebrating Halloween. Vanya and his friends, Lisa and Pasha, were thrilled by this news and eagerly awaited the time when they could put on their costumes and hold a mini-parade. Anna Petrovna explained that everyone could choose any costume and that together they would prepare a small performance for the other groups.
The children, along with their teacher, began discussing what costumes they wanted to wear. Vanya decided to be a vampire—he liked stories about mysterious creatures. Lisa chose a witch costume with a pointed hat, and Pasha wanted to be a little skeleton. Anna Petrovna helped each of them come up with costume details to make them look as bright and interesting as possible.
The children enthusiastically prepared for the celebration. Vanya chose a black cloak for his costume, which his mother helped him sew, and Lisa attached little paper spiders to her hat. Pasha received markers from Anna Petrovna to draw "bones" on white clothing, and his skeleton costume was ready. Everyone was delighted with their outfits and imagined how they would look in the parade.
When all the costumes were ready, Anna Petrovna decorated the hall with pumpkins, lanterns, and paper ghosts. The room became truly festive, and the children enthusiastically examined the decorations. Vanya was particularly impressed by the huge pumpkin with a carved face standing in the center of the room. Lisa said it looked like a real magical pumpkin, and Pasha was even a little scared but immediately laughed when he realized it was just a decoration.
Anna Petrovna announced the start of the mini-parade. The children lined up, proudly displaying their costumes. They walked through the hall, portraying their roles: Vanya stretched out his arms importantly, as if inviting everyone to a mysterious castle; Lisa waved her hat as if casting spells; and Pasha amusingly clattered his bones, depicting a skeleton. Their friends from other groups cheered, and the children felt like real stars at this festive parade.
After the parade, Anna Petrovna suggested that the children play a game called "Find the Treasures." She hid small gifts—sweets and small toys—in different corners of the room for the children to find. Vanya was the first to find a brightly wrapped candy under the table, Lisa found a small rubber spider, and Pasha discovered a colorful lollipop behind the pumpkin. They rejoiced at each "treasure," laughing and helping each other find the gifts.
When the game ended, Anna Petrovna proposed having a small celebration with dancing. They turned on cheerful music, and the children began to dance. Vanya showed moves he had seen on TV, Lisa twirled in dance, waving her hat, and Pasha amusingly clattered the little bones of his costume. Everyone laughed and enjoyed the moment, as it was their first Halloween celebration that they spent with such enthusiasm.
When the celebration came to an end, Anna Petrovna thanked the children for participating and gave each of them a small souvenir in the form of a figurine resembling their costumes. Vanya received a little vampire, Lisa—a little witch, and Pasha—a miniature skeleton. The children hugged each other and thanked Anna Petrovna for the wonderful celebration.
Moral: Celebrations are not just about costumes and fun but also a time when we can rejoice together, support each other, and share joy. When we celebrate together, each of us feels like part of a big, friendly team, and this moment remains in our memories for a long time.
