The next day, the snowfall stopped, and the sun shone over the forest. The little fox accompanied the bird to a new shelter—a hollow in a tree. "Now you have a safe place," it said. The bird promised to return in the spring and tell other birds about the kind little fox.

Since then, the little fox was always attentive to those who needed help. It learned to notice even the faintest calls and shared everything it could.
