The Red Typhoon Spot

Zumi explores Jupiter and uncovers the mystery of the Great Red Spot – a massive storm that has raged on the planet for hundreds of years.

The Red Typhoon Spot

Zumi’s spaceship was slowly approaching Jupiter – the largest planet in the Solar System. Through the window, Zumi saw a gigantic ball swirled with white and orange stripes. At the center of the planet, a bright red spot stood out, as if painted by an artist’s brush.

“What is that spot?” Zumi wondered as he switched on autopilot. “It’s so huge! I need to find out what it is.”

Jupiter

After a soft landing on an orbital platform around Jupiter, Zumi stepped out in his spacesuit. Although Jupiter doesn’t have a solid surface, a special station floated in its atmosphere for research purposes. As soon as Zumi stepped onto the platform, he heard the sound of wind. It was soft and whistling, like someone singing a tune.

“Hello!” said a thin voice. Zumi looked around but saw no one.

“Who’s there?” he asked, surprised.

“It’s me, Streamer, a wind from Jupiter,” the voice replied. “Are you looking for answers about the Red Spot?”

Jupiter's atmosphere

Zumi nodded, and Streamer continued: “That’s the Great Red Spot. A massive storm that has been raging for hundreds of years! The winds here are so strong they could circle the entire Earth in just a few hours.”

Zumi was amazed. He opened his tablet and wrote down: “The Red Spot is a gigantic storm. Winds here blow at speeds of 400 kilometers per hour!”

Streamer, spinning around Zumi, added: “But even the strongest storms can calm down one day. We, the winds of Jupiter, know that change is normal. It helps us stay free and strong!”

The Red Spot

To see the storm up close, Zumi flew his spaceship higher. He pointed his cameras at the Red Spot, watching as gigantic whirlwinds spun at its center. It looked like a dance – powerful, captivating, and a little bit scary.

“Amazing,” he whispered. “Even in chaos, there is beauty.”

Zumi in his spaceship

After completing his mission, Zumi thanked Streamer for the information. “You’ve opened my eyes to how even a storm can be part of something beautiful,” he said. “And I’ve realized that change is an opportunity for something new.”

As a farewell, the wind gently touched Zumi’s spaceship, as if saying, “Come back soon!”

Jupiter from afar

Zumi wrote in his journal: “Jupiter taught me that change isn’t something to fear. Even the strongest storm will one day become part of history.”
