One day, a little girl decided to take a walk in the forest. She walked for a long time and got lost. While searching for a way back, she stumbled upon a small house. The door was open, and the girl went inside.

It was the house of three bears. The owners weren’t home, so the girl began to look around. On the table, she saw three bowls of porridge. One was big, the other medium-sized, and the third was small. The girl tried the porridge from the big bowl, but it was too hot. From the medium-sized bowl, it was too cold. But from the small bowl, it was just right, and she ate all the porridge.

Then she noticed three chairs. The big one was too high, the middle one was uncomfortable, and the small one was just right. But as soon as she sat down, the chair broke.

The girl went to the bedroom and saw three beds. She lay on the big one – too hard. On the middle one – too soft. The small one was perfect, and the girl fell asleep.

Meanwhile, the bears returned home. Papa Bear, large and strong, Mama Bear, of medium size, and their little son, the baby bear. As they entered the house, they immediately noticed that someone had eaten their porridge.

– Who ate from my bowl? – roared Papa Bear.

– Who ate from my bowl? – wondered Mama Bear.

– Who ate from my bowl and ate it all? – cried the little bear.

They looked at the chairs. Papa Bear angrily shouted:

– Who sat in my chair?

– Who sat in my chair? – said Mama Bear.

– Who broke my chair? – squeaked the little bear.

Then they went upstairs and saw their beds. Papa Bear roared:

– Who lay in my bed?

– Who lay in my bed? – wondered Mama Bear.

– Who is sleeping in my bed? – shouted the little bear.

The girl woke up, saw the bears, and, frightened, ran to the window. She jumped out and ran away while the bears stood there in confusion. The girl found her way home and never again went into strangers' houses.
