The Wolf and His Autumn Adventure

Once in the autumn forest, there lived a friendly wolf named Vuk. He wasn’t scary; he was very kind and loved to stroll through the forest, meeting other animals and discovering new things. One day, Vuk decided to walk along the fallen leaves and look for interesting finds.

Soon he heard a rustling under a bush. A little fox named Lissy peeked out.

"Hello, Lissy!" Vuk called out. "What are you doing here?"

"Hi, Vuk!" replied the fox, wagging her bushy tail. "I’m gathering berries. They’re really sweet in autumn. Want to try some?"

Vuk was delighted and walked closer.

"Of course, I’d love to!" he said and tried a berry. "How delicious! Thank you, Lissy!"

Together, they decided to keep exploring the forest. After only a few steps, they met Bella the squirrel.

"Hello, Bella!" said Vuk. "Are you busy today too?"

"Hello, friends! Yes, I’m gathering nuts. They’re great to have for winter!" Bella said, tossing a nut in her paws.

Vuk was intrigued. "Can I help you gather some nuts?"

Bella was pleased: "Of course, gather as many as you like! You can store them in my hollow, and I’ll be happy to share with you in winter!"

After helping Bella, Vuk and Lissy continued their walk. Suddenly, they heard a soft “hoo-hoo” from a tree. It was an owl named Fedor.

"Hello, Vuk and Lissy!" greeted Fedor. "How are you?"

"Hello, Fedor!" said Vuk. "We’re walking through the forest, helping friends. And what are you doing?"

"I’m sitting in the tree, watching over the forest. Autumn is a busy time when all animals prepare for winter, and I help however I can."

Vuk nodded and said, "You’re doing an important job too, Fedor! Thank you for watching over us!"

And so, Vuk returned home, pleased that he could help his friends and learn more about life in the forest. Now he knew that autumn was a time of preparation and that everyone in the forest had important work to do.
