Volunteer Day: Vanya and Friends Learn to Help
Vanya and his friends participate in a volunteer day, helping to collect food for those in need, and discover how important it is to help others and support those who need it.
One day, Anna Petrovna announced to the children that there would be a special Volunteer Day at the kindergarten, dedicated to helping those in need. Vanya, Lisa, and Pasha were curious, as they had never heard of such a day before. Anna Petrovna explained that on this day, they would be gathering food and items to give to families who need help. The children listened with interest, excited at the chance to help those in need.
To start, Anna Petrovna suggested that each child bring a small bag of food or items to donate. Vanya excitedly promised to bring a bag of cookies and dried fruits, Lisa decided to bring some juice boxes, and Pasha arranged with his mom to bring rice and pasta. All the children were enthusiastic, thrilled to be part of this big, kind-hearted project.
The next day, the children brought their bags and started packing them into large boxes to be sent to a charity center. Anna Petrovna suggested they sort the items into categories: grains, canned goods, sweets, and drinks. Vanya enthusiastically packed the bags of cookies, while Lisa carefully packed the juice boxes so nothing would spill. Pasha gathered the bags of pasta and rice, making sure each one was neatly arranged.
Once everything was neatly packed, Anna Petrovna explained to the children how important it is to share and help. She told them that sometimes people don’t have enough to eat, and help from volunteers like them can make a difference. The children listened carefully and realized that their efforts could help others, and this made them feel happy.
Next, Anna Petrovna suggested that the children create small cards with kind messages for those receiving the donations. Vanya drew a big bright star with the words "Happiness and warmth!" Lisa drew flowers and wrote "Smile every day!" and Pasha drew a sun with the words "Wishing you light and joy!" They attached their cards to the food boxes to send warm wishes along with the food.
When all the boxes were packed and decorated, the children, along with Anna Petrovna, sent them to the collection center. Vanya, Lisa, and Pasha felt proud to have done something good and helpful. They talked about how nice it felt to share, imagining the smiles of those who would receive their gifts. Pasha remarked that he wanted to do more activities like this, realizing that helping others brings joy not only to those who receive but also to those who give.
Anna Petrovna thanked the children for their efforts and kindness. She explained that it’s important to be ready to support others and help, even if it’s just a small gesture. Vanya thought about her words and understood that anyone can help, regardless of age, and that even small actions can make a difference.
Moral: Volunteering teaches us to be kind and attentive to those in need. When we share with others, we make the world a little brighter, and our actions stay with us, filling our hearts with joy and kindness.
