Griffin Arthus and His First Task
Young Griffin Arthus sets off on his first solo mission to become a true protector of his forest.
In a large forest lived a young griffin named Arthus. He had the body of a lion and the wings of an eagle. He was strong and fast, but he often thought that this wasn’t enough to be a true protector. He wanted to be like the older griffins who protected the forest from all dangers. But Arthus didn’t know where to start.
One morning, Arthus went to see an old griffin who was the main protector of the forest. "I want to be useful and strong too. How can I become a real protector?" asked Arthus. The old griffin looked at him thoughtfully and said, "To become a real protector, you must pass a test. There is a dangerous place in the forest where trouble always happens. You must go there and find out what is going on."
Arthus was a little scared, but he immediately realized that this was his chance. He spread his wings and flew toward the place.
The flight was long, but Arthus didn’t give up. He saw many beautiful spots in the forest, but he kept his focus on the place where the problems occurred. When he arrived, he saw several rabbits hiding behind large rocks, afraid of something. "What happened?" asked Arthus.
"A new animal appeared in the forest, and it scares us. We can’t even go out to gather berries!" one of the rabbits replied.
Arthus thought for a moment. He knew he had to help. "I need to find out what kind of animal it is. Maybe it’s just lost and afraid of us."
Arthus didn’t wait long. He went deeper into the forest, to the place where the strange animal had been seen. There, among the bushes, he discovered a large but frightened bear. It was new to the forest and seemed unsure of where it was safe. It had scared the rabbits because it was so big and didn’t know how to make friends with the other animals.
Arthus approached the bear and said, "You shouldn’t scare the forest creatures. If you want to live in our forest, you need to learn how to live with us."
The bear was scared, but Arthus calmly continued, "Don’t be afraid! I’ll help you. Together, we will learn how to live here without fear."
Arthus explained to the bear how everyone in the forest helped each other. He told the bear that everyone needed to follow the rules and be kind. The bear understood its mistake, apologized to the rabbits, and promised not to scare anyone again.
When Arthus returned to the rabbits, they greeted him with joy. "You’re a true protector!" they said. Arthus felt proud. He understood that being a protector wasn’t just about strength but also about understanding others, helping them, and teaching them to live in peace.
Moral: A protector is not the one who is the strongest, but the one who understands and helps others.
