Sack Race

Ilya and his friends participate in a fun sack race during PE class. Ilya is afraid of falling, but he finds the courage to keep going and wins thanks to his friends' support.

Sack Race

Today’s PE lesson promised to be something special. The PE teacher, Alexey Viktorovich, decided to hold a fun competition — a sack race. All the students lined up at the starting line on the playground, curiously looking at the sacks lying at their feet. Each tried to imagine what it would be like to jump in a sack, and everyone’s eyes sparkled with excitement.

Ilya felt a bit nervous. He had never taken part in such a competition before, and he was worried that he might fall and make everyone laugh. But on the other hand, the idea seemed so funny that he didn’t want to miss out on the fun.

His best friend, Nikita, noticed Ilya’s anxiety and gave him an encouraging smile:

— Don’t worry, Ilya! We’re a team. Even if we fall, the most important thing is to have fun!

Ilya felt a little more relaxed and nodded. Alexey Viktorovich explained the rules: they had to pull the sack up to their waists and then jump to the finish line. The team that crossed the finish line first would win.

Teams were arranged, and each student took their position. Ilya found himself in the same team as Nikita and Liza. They encouraged each other with pats on the shoulder. Alexey Viktorovich gave the signal, and all the kids started jumping, trying to keep their balance.

Ilya made his first jump, then his second. The sack wobbled a bit, and each jump took effort. He could hear the kids around him laughing and cheering each other on. Nikita was a little ahead, encouraging everyone with loud shouts:

— Come on, team! We can do it!

With each jump, Ilya felt more and more confident. His fear disappeared, and he began to really enjoy himself. But suddenly, he lost his balance a bit and landed on his knees. The kids around him burst out laughing, but no one made fun of him — everyone was supporting each other.

Liza stopped and held out her hand to Ilya:

— Come on, get up! We’re in this together! — she said with a smile.

Ilya grabbed Liza’s hand, got up, and continued jumping. Now they were jumping together, and the laughter only grew. The team moved forward, filled with excitement and joy.

When they were almost at the finish line, Ilya noticed that another team was starting to catch up. He gathered all his strength and made a few quick jumps. Nikita and Liza didn’t fall behind, and soon they crossed the finish line together as a team.

— We won! — Nikita shouted, hugging his friends with joy.

The team celebrating their win

The kids laughed, jumped, and congratulated each other. Alexey Viktorovich approached them and praised them:

— Great job, everyone! You showed real team spirit. And most importantly — you had fun with the competition.

Ilya realized that even if they hadn’t won, the day would still have been memorable. He was happy that he had been able to overcome his fear and now knew that the main thing was not winning but enjoying the moment and the support of friends.

When the lesson ended, the kids left the playground, discussing the funniest moments of the race. Ilya, Nikita, and Liza reminisced about how they helped each other and managed to overcome all the challenges together.

Friends leaving the field, talking about the race

This day became an important lesson for Ilya: the support of friends and belief in oneself are what truly make any moment bright and memorable. He was already looking forward to the next competition, where they could show their skills and have fun together again.
