The Fairy Who Saved the Meadow from the Drought
Fairy Tisha saves the meadow from drought using her magic and ingenuity. The story teaches a lesson about caring for nature and the importance of perseverance.
In a magical forest, among green trees and blooming plants, there was a beautiful meadow. Little rabbits played on it, squirrels ran around, and birds sang their songs. But one day, there was no rain in the forest, and the meadow began to wilt. The grass turned yellow, the flowers drooped, and the trees looked dreary.
Fairy Tisha, who always cared for the meadow, noticed the trouble. She understood that if she didn’t help, the meadow might die. She decided to use her magic and figure out how to bring life back to this corner of the forest.
— I need to figure out how to bring the rain back, — said the fairy, standing in the middle of the withered meadow. — But for that, I need to find the source of the rain. It’s somewhere in this forest! I can summon the rain with magic if I find the right magical force.
The fairy took off into the sky on her little wings and set off in search of the source. She flew through mountains, forests, and even past a tall waterfall, but could not find what she was looking for. Finally, she noticed an old wise turtle sitting on a rock by the river.
— Hello, Fairy Tisha, — said the turtle. — You are looking for rain, aren't you? But remember, rain is not just water. It comes when all of nature is ready to receive it.
— I don’t understand, — said Tisha. — How can that be? We can’t wait forever. The meadow is dying!
— Everything around us is interconnected, — replied the turtle. — If you want rain, you must first help nature recover a little. For example, sprinkle some earth over the meadow so it can absorb moisture again. Then, summon the rain, and it will hydrate everything.
Fairy Tisha thanked the turtle and returned to the meadow. She began carefully spreading earth over its surface, and gradually the soil became softer. Meanwhile, Tisha whispered some magical words to summon the rain. But the rain didn’t come right away, because it took some time for the soil to absorb the moisture.
After a few minutes, the sky darkened, and the first drops of rain began to fall on the meadow. The meadow immediately came to life: the grass turned green, and the flowers bloomed once again. The forest filled with the fresh scent of rain, and even the trees, which had long stood in the shade, began to come alive.
The fairy joyfully fluttered in the air, watching as the forest came back to life. The meadow was saved, and Tisha learned an important lesson: rain comes when nature is ready to receive it, and it’s important to first help the soil and plants, then wait for the miracle.
— You see, — said Tisha, as she flew home, — sometimes we need to show patience and care to see the results of our work.
The meadow once again became the most beautiful part of the forest, and all the forest creatures rejoiced in the return of the rain. Tisha realized that she didn’t need magic to help nature — she just needed to care for it with love and attention.
The moral of the story: sometimes, to bring nature back to life, we need to show patience, care, and attention to its needs.
