Once upon a time, in a village, there lived the golden rooster and his friends – a cat and a thrush. They were close friends and always helped each other. The rooster was kind but a little careless, while the cat and the thrush were always vigilant.
One morning, the friends went off to work. Before they left, they warned the rooster:
– Rooster, stay at home, lock the door, and don’t open it to anyone. If anything happens, call us for help.
– Okay, okay, – replied the rooster, and he stayed alone at home.
But then the fox appeared. It noticed the rooster, approached the house, and began to flatter him:
– Rooster, golden comb, peek out the window and show your little head!
The rooster peeked out the window, and the fox continued:
– How beautiful you are, Rooster! Let’s be friends! Come out, let’s talk.
The rooster initially refused, but the fox was sly. It persuaded him for a long time and then offered a tasty treat. Finally, the rooster opened the door. The fox grabbed him and ran into the forest.
The friends, the cat and the thrush, returned home but couldn’t find the rooster. They looked around, saw the fox’s tracks, and immediately understood what had happened. Without delay, they rushed to help. The cat ran ahead while the thrush flew above, keeping a sharp eye out for the fox in the forest.
They caught up with the fox when it was almost at its den. The thrush swooped down on the fox and started pecking at its eyes, while the cat grabbed its tail. The fox wasn’t expecting such an attack, got scared, dropped the rooster, and ran away.
The rooster thanked his friends for the rescue. They returned home, and the cat and the thrush strictly warned the rooster:
– We warned you! Next time, listen to us and don’t trust tricky strangers.
Since then, the rooster became more cautious and no longer fell for tricks.
Moral: This story teaches us to listen to our friends, be cautious with strangers, and appreciate mutual help. Friendship and cleverness will always help in difficult times.
