The Little Plane and the Night Stars: How He Helped the Moon Shine

One night, the Moon lost its light, and the little plane Wintik set out to gather stars to restore its glow. A story about kindness and caring for others.

The Little Plane and the Night Stars: How He Helped the Moon Shine

One warm summer evening, the little plane Wintik was flying over the Enchanted Forest, enjoying the view of the night sky. He loved nighttime flights: stars sparkled above him like little diamonds, and the Moon shone, bathing the forest in soft silver light.

But this night, something strange happened. As soon as the Moon rose over the forest, it grew dim and slowly went out. The night sky became dark, and the stars twinkled hesitantly, as if lost without their main light.

Wintik was astonished and immediately knew that something unusual had happened. He decided to find out why the Moon had lost its light.

The dimmed Moon over the Enchanted Forest

Flying closer to the Moon, Wintik politely asked:

— Moon, what happened to you? Why did you go out?

The Moon looked at Wintik sadly and sighed:

— I’ve lost my light. Tonight, a cloud swept over me and took my glow away. Now I can’t light up the night and show the way for the forest creatures.

Wintik thought for a moment. He couldn’t leave the Moon without light, as it was so important for the nighttime world. He decided he must help the Moon regain its glow.

— Don’t worry, Moon, — he said encouragingly. — I’ll gather stars for you, and you’ll shine again. I promise I’ll do everything to bring your light back.

With that, Wintik flew higher and set off into the depths of the night sky to gather stars that could help restore the Moon’s light. He flew over the forest, where occasional fireflies glimmered, and sought out the brightest stars. The sky was clear and dark, and the stars seemed so close you could almost touch them.

Wintik approached the first star, which shone especially brightly. He asked it to help, and the star agreed, joining Wintik on his journey to the Moon. Then Wintik gathered a few more stars, each of which was eager to help brighten the night for the Moon.

Once he had enough stars, Wintik carefully attached them to the Moon. The first star took its place, and the Moon began to shine a little brighter. Then more stars joined, and soon the Moon’s light was restored – it was different, but still beautiful and mysterious.

— Thank you, Wintik! — said the Moon, glowing softly again. — Now I can light the way once more for those who need it.

But Wintik realized that the glow was still not enough to illuminate the whole forest. So he decided to call on the fireflies that were buzzing over the meadow.

— Dear fireflies, — Wintik called to them, — the Moon has lost part of its light, and I need your help to make it shine fully again. Could you light it up, just for tonight?

Wintik asking the fireflies for help

The fireflies happily agreed. They flew up to the Moon, forming a glowing ring around it. Now the Moon shone even brighter, and the night sky was full of light once again.

Surrounded by stars and fireflies, the Moon illuminated the entire forest. The animals looked up at the sky with gratitude, and Wintik felt that his mission was complete.

The Moon surrounded by fireflies and stars

— Thank you, Wintik! — said the Moon. — Thanks to you, I can shine again and bring joy to everyone around me. You are a true friend.

The little plane bowed to the Moon and, happy with his good deed, flew back to the forest.

Wintik returning to the forest

From that day on, the Moon knew that in times of trouble, someone would always come to help. And Wintik, as he flew across the night sky, always remembered the night he helped the Moon shine again and how important it is to be there for those who need support.
