The Little Plane in the City: How to Find a Lost Puppy
The little plane, Screwy, arrives in the city and learns that a boy has lost his puppy. Flying over courtyards and parks, he finds the puppy, helping to bring it back home and showing the importance of caring for pets and helping others.
One clear and warm morning, the little plane Screwy, shining with his gleaming wings, was soaring above the big city known as Dream City. He enjoyed watching the bustling streets, the bright shop windows, and the green parks that attracted children and adults alike. Screwy loved coming here, as the city was full of interesting places to explore.
While flying over Dream City’s Central Park, Screwy noticed something unusual. On one of the benches sat a small boy with a tear-streaked face. His shoulders were slumped, and from time to time, he wiped his eyes. Screwy sensed that something was wrong and decided to fly closer to find out what had happened.
He slowly descended and stopped nearby, trying not to startle the boy. Flying a bit closer, Screwy softly hummed:
— Hello, little friend! What’s wrong? Why are you so sad?
The boy looked up, surprised to see Screwy. He hadn’t expected a little plane to speak to him, but hearing Screwy’s kind voice, he perked up a bit.
— I lost my puppy, — the boy replied quietly, trying to hold back his tears. — His name is Bim, and he ran off when I let go of his leash. I looked everywhere, but I couldn’t find him.
Screwy felt for the boy. He understood how much he cared for his little friend. Screwy himself was very attached to his own friends and knew that losing someone close was tough.
— Don’t worry, I’ll help you find Bim! — Screwy said confidently. — Together, we’ll surely succeed. The city is big, but we’ll search every courtyard, park, and even the smallest hiding spots.
The boy looked at Screwy with hope:
— Will you really help me? Thank you, little plane! You’re a true friend!
So, Screwy soared into the sky and began searching the city, starting with Central Park, where the boy had last seen his puppy. He carefully flew over every corner of the park, looking behind bushes, checking benches, and scanning playgrounds, hoping to spot the little puppy.
After thoroughly checking the park, Screwy decided to look around the nearby courtyards. He flew over each one, his watchful eyes scanning for the familiar puppy among playing children and adults walking their pets. But the puppy was still nowhere to be found.
But Screwy didn’t give up. He understood that sometimes finding something takes a bit more time and patience. He headed toward a large open area where animals often gathered. Suddenly, among the grass, he spotted a small puppy with perky ears and a happily wagging tail.
— Bim! Is that you? — Screwy called out, gently descending to the ground.
The puppy turned around, his little eyes lighting up with joy. He recognized the voice calling him, and, seeing Screwy, he joyfully ran over, delighted by the reunion.
— Oh, Bim, I found you! — Screwy exclaimed happily. — Your little owner has been so worried about you. Let’s go, and I’ll take you back!
The puppy barked happily and trotted alongside Screwy, who slowly flew toward the park to reunite him with his owner. When the boy saw Bim, he rushed over, and the puppy leaped into his arms, licking his friend’s face with joy.
— Thank you, Screwy! Without you, I wouldn’t have found him! — the boy said gratefully, hugging Bim tightly.
— I’m always happy to help friends, — Screwy smiled. — Remember to always keep a close eye on your pets. They can get scared or lost too.
From that day on, the boy always carefully watched over Bim, and Screwy knew that he now had new friends in this city who could always count on his help.
