Ecologist Day: Vanya and His Friends Learn to Care for Nature

One warm day, Anna Petrovna announced to the children that today they would celebrate “Ecologist Day” and go to the park to help clean it up. Vanya and his friends, Liza and Pasha, listened with curiosity. Anna Petrovna explained that cleaning up the park is an important part of caring for nature, and that each person can help keep the environment clean and beautiful.

The children prepared for the outing, taking gloves and small trash bags that Anna Petrovna had given each of them. They got on the bus and headed to the park. On the way, Anna Petrovna talked about why it’s important to keep nature clean and how everyone can make a difference. Vanya listened with interest, already picturing how they would pick up litter to make the park clean and beautiful again.

When the children arrived at the park, they saw beautiful trees, lawns, and paths. Unfortunately, some areas were littered with trash: plastic bottles, wrappers, and papers. Anna Petrovna explained that any trash left on the ground can harm animals and plants, and that they would all help nature by collecting the trash.

The children eagerly got to work. Vanya found a plastic bottle under a tree and carefully placed it in his bag. Liza picked up candy wrappers, and Pasha collected papers left on a bench. They were happy for every piece of trash they picked up, realizing that they were doing something important for nature.

Anna Petrovna walked around and praised the children for their efforts. She explained that plastic and other waste take a long time to decompose and should always be thrown away in special bins. Vanya remembered her words and thought about how he would always make sure not to leave any trash on the ground.

When they had collected all the trash, Anna Petrovna suggested that the children have a little picnic on a clean lawn. The children sat in a circle and shared cookies and juice they had brought with them. Vanya felt proud of their work, and it made him happy to see the clean park around them. Liza said that the park looked much prettier now, and Pasha added that he felt like a real “nature protector.”

During the picnic, Anna Petrovna told the children how important it is to care not only for the park but also for other places. She explained that nature is our home, and everyone can make it better by keeping it clean. The children listened with interest and promised to always pick up after themselves and help nature.

After the picnic, Anna Petrovna suggested that the children draw how they see nature. Vanya drew a beautiful clean park with trees and flowers, Liza drew animals that live in the forest, and Pasha drew a green meadow with butterflies. Anna Petrovna praised each child for their drawing and said that their work cleaning the park was a real gift to nature.

Moral: Caring for nature starts with us. Each of us can make the world cleaner and more beautiful by keeping it clean and respecting the environment. When we pick up after ourselves and help nature, we create beauty around us and protect our home—the planet Earth.
