Hedgehog, Squirrel, and the Magic Magnet in the Meadow
Hedgehog and Squirrel find a magic magnet in the forest and learn how it attracts different objects. They discover what magnetism is and have fun playing in the meadow.
On a sunny day in a meadow covered with soft grass and flowers, Hedgehog and Squirrel were playing hide and seek. They jumped, laughed joyfully, and ran around the trees until they found something unusual among the fallen leaves. It was a small gray magnet.
– Look, Squirrel, what is this? – asked Hedgehog in surprise, holding the magnet in his paw.
Squirrel tilted her head and looked closely at the find.
– I don’t know, Hedgehog. Maybe it’s some kind of magic stone? It’s so strange and heavy, – she replied.
Hedgehog decided to check what this mysterious object could do and began to move it along the ground. Suddenly, the magnet attracted a small iron clip that was lying in the grass.
– Wow, Squirrel, look! This stone can attract things! – exclaimed Hedgehog. – Is it magic?
– It seems like magic, – Squirrel agreed. – Let’s try again! Maybe it will attract something else?
Hedgehog and Squirrel began to search for different small objects. They found rusty nails, bottle caps, and pieces of wire. Everything that was metal was instantly drawn to the magnet, as if the magnet was telling these items, “Come to me!”
– I wonder why this works only with certain things, – Squirrel pondered when a small stone didn’t get attracted to the magnet.
– Maybe this magnet has its own rules? – suggested Hedgehog.
They continued to play, attracting different items, until they approached a Bird that was sitting on a branch, watching them with interest.
– Hello, Hedgehog and Squirrel! What have you found? – asked the Bird, flapping its wings.
– Bird, look! We have a magic magnet! It attracts things! – explained Hedgehog.
The Bird looked closely at the magnet and smiled.
– This is indeed a magical object, but it has a secret, – it said. – It only attracts things made of metal. This is called magnetism.
– Magnetism? – Squirrel asked in surprise. – What is that?
– That is the force that attracts metallic objects to the magnet, – replied the Bird. – But trees, leaves, and stones are not attracted because they are not made of metal.
Hedgehog and Squirrel listened with interest to the Bird’s explanation. They played a little longer, trying to understand what could be attracted to the magnet and what could not.
When it was time to say goodbye, Hedgehog and Squirrel thanked the Bird for its help.
– Now we know how this magic magnet works, – said Hedgehog. – It’s not just a stone, but a real magnet!
The Bird flapped its wings and flew away, leaving the friends in the meadow with new knowledge. Hedgehog and Squirrel played for a long time, attracting metallic objects and enjoying their little magical adventure.
Thus, Hedgehog and Squirrel learned about magnetism and understood that the world is full of interesting and unusual things to explore. They decided that the next day they would return to the meadow and find something even more amazing!
