Little Mouse in the Garden
A story about little mouse Peek, who sets out to explore the garden. Brave and curious, Peek meets new friends, finds treasures, and learns about the world around him. This is a tale of friendship and delightful discoveries for young children.
Once upon a time, there was a small, brave, and very curious little mouse named Peek. Every day, Peek would leave his mouse hole to explore the garden, which was like a big, mysterious world to him. This world was full of flowers, colorful butterflies, fragrant berries, and warm sunshine, and Peek loved finding new things in it!
One early morning, as the sun began to rise over the trees, Peek peered out of his mouse hole and felt that today would be especially exciting. “Maybe I’ll find something amazing today,” he thought, and set off to see what new adventure awaited him.
Peek walked along a tiny path between flowers and suddenly spotted something red peeking out of the grass. Curious, he crept closer and saw that it was a ripe, fragrant strawberry! It lay right there on the grass, as if it were waiting for someone to find it.
“Oh, what a beautiful strawberry! It smells so good! I could take it home,” thought Peek, and carefully picked up the berry in his little paws. “I’ll bring it to my friends! We’ll have a feast!” he thought with joy, and began his journey home.
But as Peek was carrying his precious find, he heard a buzzing sound nearby. It was a little bee, flying from flower to flower, gathering pollen. The bee noticed Peek and paused to greet him: “Hello, Peek! What a lovely strawberry you have! Did you find it yourself?”
Peek nodded proudly, “Yes! I discovered it in the grass. What are you doing, Bee?”
The bee smiled and explained that it was gathering pollen to make honey, and added, “Honey is very popular with us bees, and we make it to share with our friends.” Peek listened intently, imagining how delicious honey must be!
After their short chat, Peek said goodbye to the bee and continued his way with the strawberry. But soon, he met a little beetle with a shiny green shell and long antennae. The beetle looked at Peek curiously and said, “Hello, Peek! What a treasure you have there!”
“It’s a strawberry! I’m taking it to my friends so we can have a feast!” replied Peek with a smile. The beetle wiggled its antennae and invited Peek to his favorite spot in the garden — a pond with water lilies.
“There are beautiful lilies there,” explained the beetle, “and dragonflies often visit them. You love new places, don’t you?”
Peek thought for a moment and agreed. He had never seen a pond with lilies before and decided he had to check it out, since he loved everything new and beautiful.
They arrived at the pond, which was incredibly calm. Green leaves and white lilies floated on its surface, and dragonflies flew around it as if they were guarding their kingdom.
“It’s so beautiful here!” Peek exclaimed and took in the fresh scent of the pond. He would have liked to stay longer, but he remembered his friends were waiting for him, and he thanked the beetle for the lovely walk.
With the strawberry in his paws, Peek continued his journey home, meeting a few more of his friends along the way – butterflies, dragonflies, and tiny ants. Finally, he reached his mouse hole, where his friends, the mice Chip and Chap, were eagerly awaiting him.
“Look what I brought!” Peek said, showing them the strawberry. His friends squeaked with joy, and they decided to share the berry among themselves. They had a real celebration, sitting under a big green leaf and enjoying the sweet taste of the ripe berry.
When everything was eaten, Peek yawned and looked at his friends. “How wonderful it is to have our garden, where there is so much to discover. Tomorrow, I’ll go exploring again!”
And so ended a day filled with discoveries, friendship, and happy encounters. Peek and his friends fell asleep, happy and content, dreaming of new adventures in their magical garden.
