Return to the Dinosaur World: A New Journey for Young Explorers

After their unforgettable first journey to the age of dinosaurs, Misha, Lisa, and Vanya couldn’t stop thinking about it. Diplodocus, triceratops, and even the tyrannosaurus—everything they saw felt like a wonderful dream they didn’t want to wake up from. Every time they met up, they talked about their adventure and planned how to go back in time again.

One day, they visited Professor Andrey’s lab again. Seeing the excitement in their eyes, the professor smiled. “I know why you’re here. You want to go back to the dinosaurs, don’t you?” The kids nodded enthusiastically, and the professor was happy to grant their wish.

“This time,” said the professor, “I’ve set the time machine to an even earlier period. You’ll go to the Mesozoic Era when the planet was full of ancient forests and lakes, and some of the largest dinosaurs were just starting to dominate Earth.” The kids could barely contain their excitement as they eagerly waited for new discoveries. Soon, the cabin lit up again, taking them back into the distant past.

When the light faded, they found themselves in a completely different world: ancient trees stretched high above them like real giants, and the air was filled with the sounds of enormous insects and calls from birds they’d never heard before.

“This is even more amazing than last time!” Vanya marveled, looking around. Lisa quickly noticed that some trees had strange, purple leaves that glowed under the sunlight.

They had only taken a few steps when, from behind the bushes, appeared a massive dinosaur with a long body and a sail-like crest on its back. “It’s a Spinosaurus!” Lisa gasped. The kids had only seen this predator in books, but now he was standing right in front of them. Spinosaurus didn’t notice them, instead making his way to a river that sparkled under the sun.

The kids stood still, watching this giant as it slowly drank from the water. Then, with a flick of its tail, the Spinosaurus continued along the riverbank, oblivious to its little observers. The kids were thrilled, never imagining they would see such a dinosaur up close.

They decided to follow the Spinosaurus at a safe distance. Soon, they saw a group of other dinosaurs—massive herbivores with long necks. “Those must be Brachiosaurus!” whispered Misha. The giants were slowly moving across green meadows, eating leaves from the tops of trees.

Lisa remembered the camera they brought and began snapping photos. The kids exchanged excited glances, knowing this was a once-in-a-lifetime chance, and they wanted to remember every moment.

But their joy was short-lived. Lisa suddenly heard a loud roar and saw a massive T. rex emerge from the bushes on the meadow. He had spotted the herbivores and headed straight toward them. “We need to hide!” Vanya whispered, and they quickly hid behind a tree, keeping a close eye on what was happening.

They watched as the T. rex approached one of the Brachiosaurus, but the Brachiosaurus didn’t seem frightened. They simply turned around and continued on their way, leaving the T. rex empty-handed. The T. rex paused for a moment before heading into the forest, ignoring the kids.

Realizing the danger had passed, the kids decided to return to the river. There, they found an unexpected discovery—bones of an ancient creature. Carefully, they began digging around the bones and uncovered a well-preserved skull of a small dinosaur. “These might be the bones of an ancient ornithopod,” Lisa suggested, examining the skull closely.

Knowing this would be important to the professor, they decided to bring the skull back to the lab. Just as they finished gathering their things, the professor’s voice came through their headphones: “Kids, it’s time to come back!” Even though they didn’t want to leave, they knew it was time.

Back at the lab, the professor greeted them with a smile. “Your findings are amazing! This proves that even in the distant past, when giants roamed the Earth, life was diverse and full of mysteries,” he said, proud of their work.

This journey left unforgettable memories in the kids’ hearts. They knew that one day, they would travel back to the distant past again to uncover more secrets of the ancient world.
