The Bunny and the Magic Words: A Lesson in Politeness on the Meadow
The Bunny learns to say “please,” “thank you,” and other polite words, noticing how they make his friends kinder and happier. He understands that such words help strengthen friendship.
On a sunny morning, Bunny, Squirrel, and Hedgehog gathered on a big forest meadow to play together. The meadow was their favorite meeting and playing spot: it had plenty of space to run around, thick bushes for hiding, and the grass was soft and green. The friends always enjoyed spending time here.
Bunny jumped joyfully and suggested:
– Let’s play tag! I’ll be the first one to chase!
Squirrel and Hedgehog were excited and quickly ran off to hide behind the bushes and trees. Bunny cheerfully ran after them, trying to catch up. The game was in full swing, with friends laughing and enjoying their time together.
At one point, when Bunny finally caught up with Squirrel, he joyfully shouted:
– Gotcha!
But Squirrel suddenly stopped and said:
– Bunny, how would you say that if you were polite? You can just say “please,” and it sounds much nicer.
Bunny was a bit surprised because he had never thought about that before. He looked at Squirrel and replied, smiling shyly:
– Please, Squirrel, you’re now on our team!
Hearing this, Squirrel smiled and nodded.
– You see, Bunny, how nice it is when you say “please” and “thank you.” These words are like magic. They help us feel joy and respect for one another!
The game continued, but now Bunny tried to add polite words each time. When he wanted to ask Hedgehog to wait or Squirrel to pass him something, he said “please” and “thank you.” The friends noticed Bunny's effort to be polite, and it made them all friendlier.
At one point, Hedgehog suggested:
– Let’s take a little break. Who wants to try the berries I brought?
Bunny enthusiastically approached Hedgehog and, recalling his “magic words,” said:
– Thank you, Hedgehog! May I have some berries?
Hedgehog happily handed him the berries, glad that his friend had asked politely. Squirrel also took some berries and thanked Hedgehog with a smile, which made him very happy.
The friends sat on the grass and enjoyed the berries, chatting and laughing. Bunny felt particularly good: he noticed that because of these small but important words, his friends smiled more and showed him more kindness.
Bunny understood that the words “please” and “thank you” help maintain friendly relationships and make their communication even more enjoyable. He decided that he would always use these words to show his friends how much he appreciated them.
When it was time to say goodbye, Bunny looked at Squirrel and Hedgehog and said:
– Thank you for this wonderful day! See you next time!
Squirrel and Hedgehog, pleased with Bunny's politeness, also thanked him and waved their paws as they walked down the forest path with smiles. From that day on, Bunny always tried to be polite, knowing that magic words bring joy and strengthen friendship.
This tale teaches little ones how important simple words of politeness are for communication and strong friendships.
