The Fox and the Bear: Building a Cabin on the Forest Clearing

On a sunny day, Fox and Bear met in a forest clearing. They often gathered here to play, discuss the forest news, or simply enjoy nature. The clearing was green and spacious, surrounded by tall trees and bushes. All around were branches and leaves scattered by the wind throughout the forest.

Fox looked around and suddenly noticed that the leaves and branches formed small piles, almost begging to be used to build something.

– Bear, what do you think? Maybe we could build a little cabin here? – Fox suggested excitedly, looking at her friend with enthusiasm. – We could make it out of branches and leaves, and then we’d have a place to shelter from the rain or simply relax.

Bear, who loved the idea of having his own cabin, nodded happily and said:

– That’s a great idea, Fox! I’ve always dreamed of a little cabin where I could hide away and feel cozy. Let’s build it together!

The friends got to work, each taking on an important task. Fox started gathering thin and flexible branches that could easily be bent to form a roof. She carefully placed them to make sure the cabin would be strong and keep out the rain.

Bear, on the other hand, collected thicker branches that could form the foundation, helping the cabin to stand firmly. He placed the branches around like a frame, ensuring the cabin would be sturdy. Bear was strong enough to carry the heavy branches, and Fox, darting around, helped arrange them just right.

– Let’s add more leaves so the inside will be soft, – Fox suggested, gathering handfuls of bright green leaves that had fallen from the trees.

Bear agreed and began spreading the leaves on the floor of the cabin to make it soft and comfortable. They even decided to create a little corner for resting, where they could lie down and enjoy the quiet of the forest.

After a few hours, the work was nearly done. Now, the cabin stood in the clearing, tucked between the trees, and looked wonderfully cozy. Fox and Bear admired their creation, feeling their hearts swell with pride for the work they had accomplished together.

– We did it! – Fox exclaimed joyfully. – Now we have a place to shelter from the rain and simply relax!

Bear nodded, smiling.

– This cabin isn’t just a shelter. It’s our little shared corner that we built together. By working as a team, we were able to create something special, – he said, feeling the joy of working together.

After finishing, the friends decided to rest inside the cabin. They made themselves comfortable, feeling as if the cabin protected them from the whole world. A gentle breeze rustled the leaves outside, creating a soothing sound, while sunlight filtered through the tree branches, filling the cabin with soft light.

– Now we have a place where we can not only hide but also simply sit in peace, – Fox said, stretching happily. – This cabin reminds me how important it is to have a little corner where you always feel cozy.

Bear smiled at her and said:

– You’re right, Fox. And the best part is, we did it together. I’ll always remember this day and how we built our cabin because working together made it so much more fun.
