The Lost Shell

One sunny morning, as soft beams of light filtered through the water, Mila, a little mermaid with long green hair and a necklace of shells, swam along the coral reefs. She loved exploring the underwater world and often found amazing things hidden in the sand or among the corals.

Today, Mila found something truly special — a beautiful, rare shell shimmering with all the colors of the rainbow. It glistened on the seafloor like a tiny underwater treasure, and Mila immediately knew it was an extraordinary find. Holding the shell in her hands, she admired it lovingly, imagining how exciting it would be to show her friends.

But on her way home, Mila suddenly noticed that the shell was nowhere to be found. The beautiful treasure had slipped from her small hands, and her heart sank. How could this happen? She had held it so carefully! Mila stopped and tried to remember where she might have lost it.

— Maybe I left it by the big coral reef? — Mila wondered aloud.

She decided to retrace her steps to find her lost shell. On her way, she met a friendly crab named Crevi. He noticed the worried expression on her face and asked:

— Mila, what happened? You look troubled.

— I found an amazing shell, but I think I lost it! — Mila explained. — I really want to find it, but I don’t know where it could have fallen from my hands.

Crevi smiled and encouraged her:

— Don’t worry, Mila! I’ll help you look. Together, we’re sure to find it!

They continued along the reefs, carefully searching every corner. Mila looked under rocks, and Crevi turned over small shells and corals, trying to spot the missing shell. On their way, they encountered Tia, an elderly seahorse, peacefully gliding between seaweed.

— Tia, have you seen a beautiful rainbow-colored shell by any chance? — Mila asked hopefully.

Tia smiled and shook her head:

— No, dear, but I did see a group of jellyfish passing by, and they seemed to be discussing something. Maybe you could ask them!

Mila and Crevi thanked Tia and swam toward a group of jellyfish gracefully floating in the water. Approaching them, Mila asked:

— Hello! Have you seen a rainbow-colored shell by any chance?

One of the jellyfish, named Pearl, glided forward and replied:

— Oh, are you talking about that bright shell? We saw it near the sandy bottom. It was shining so brightly that it was hard to miss!

Excited, Mila headed to where the jellyfish pointed, and soon she did see something gleaming among the sand.

She swam closer, but to her surprise, it was just an ordinary shell that looked like hers but wasn’t. A little disappointed but still hopeful, Mila continued her search.

Finally, she heard the familiar voice of her friend Rocky, the dolphin. He swam up to her and, seeing her searching, asked with interest:

— Mila, are you looking for something?

Mila told him about the lost shell, and Rocky immediately offered his help:

— I can swim along the current and see if it’s drifted anywhere. Wait for me here!

A few minutes later, Rocky returned, happily waving his fin, showing Mila the very shell. It shone in his hands just like when Mila had first found it.

— Oh, thank you, Rocky! You really saved the day! — Mila exclaimed joyfully, hugging the dolphin.

She carefully took the shell and decided that from now on, she would be even more careful with it. This adventure taught Mila to appreciate her friends, who are always ready to help, and to take care of the things that matter to her.

From that day on, the shell was more than just a beautiful find; it became a symbol of friendship, which helped her find her way back to her dream.
