The Night Rainbow

It was evening, and silence enveloped the underwater world. Mila swam along the reefs, enjoying the calm when she suddenly noticed something unusual in the water. The dark depths of the ocean were gradually lit up by shimmering bands of different colors. They seemed to come from afar, and, intrigued, Mila headed toward the light.

The closer she swam, the brighter the colors became. They danced and shimmered, as if performing a unique show. Suddenly, her friend, the glowing jellyfish Lumia, appeared beside her.

“Mila, do you see that?” whispered Lumia excitedly. “That’s an underwater rainbow! I’ve heard of it, but I’ve never seen it before.”

Mila nodded in amazement, unable to take her eyes off the breathtaking sight. She knew rainbows appeared only after rain, but she had never imagined something like this could occur underwater, especially at night.

“Could it be magic?” Mila wondered.

Lumia shook her head slightly:

“It’s a rare natural phenomenon. They say underwater rainbows appear when glowing algae and special corals interact with ocean currents. Let’s go have a closer look!”

They swam alongside the rainbow, watching in awe as the colors shifted from bright green to deep blue and vibrant red. Suddenly, Mila noticed that one of the glowing bands began at a large coral stone. She cautiously swam closer and saw a colony of tiny glowing algae, emitting a soft, steady light.

Lumia illuminated the coral with her gentle light, and together, they observed how the algae, carried by the gentle current, glowed even brighter. The waves made the light bands soft and fluid, creating an almost magical glow.

“So that’s how it works!” Mila exclaimed. “The rainbow is created by these tiny algae and the current!”

At that moment, Dolphin Rocky joined them, having overheard the friends’ conversation. He swam up to see the underwater wonder and said:

“I’ve heard that such rainbows only appear on certain nights. They say these are special nights when the ocean shares its secrets with those ready to see them.”

Mila, Lumia, and Rocky decided to explore the rainbow further. They swam to its other end, which led to a deep underwater canyon. The light shimmered and created incredible patterns on the canyon walls, reflecting off the smooth stones.

The deeper they ventured, the more mysteries they encountered. They saw rare nocturnal ocean creatures: glowing fish that left a shimmering trail behind them and corals that seemed to come alive in the dark, becoming even brighter and more vibrant.

Mila gazed in awe at everything around her:

“What an amazing world! I never imagined that the nighttime ocean could be so lively and colorful.”

They stopped on a small underwater clearing where the rainbow seemed especially bright. All three of them enjoyed this moment, knowing they were witnessing a true natural wonder. Lumia broke the silence, saying:

“Sometimes, we just need to pause and look around. The ocean is full of secrets, and each of them can give us something special.”

Mila smiled, realizing that this night had become truly special for her. The underwater rainbow showed her just how mysterious and magical her home could be.
