The Secret of the Egyptian Pyramid
Lena, Petya, and their friends solve a mystery hidden in the sands of Egypt and discover a secret chamber in the Pyramid of Cheops. Exciting adventures for young archaeologists.
Lena, Petya, and their friends Masha and Artyom stood under the hot Egyptian sun. The sand was hot, and the air was dry and sharp, like old parchment. All the children were wearing light T-shirts and wide hats to protect themselves from the sun’s rays. Lena had a pair of old archaeological gloves on, which Professor Skvortsov had brought her from his last expedition. He always said, “The gloves should be like hats for gentlemen – comfortable and reliable.”
“Look!” Lena shouted, pointing in the distance at the huge shadow cast by the Pyramid of Cheops. “We’re almost there!”
Petya, who was always full of energy and couldn’t stand still for long, ran ahead and soon started jumping around the pyramid, hopping from one stone block to another. Masha and Artyom hurried after him.
“Petya!” called Lena, “Don’t get lost there!”
“I won’t get lost! I know where the pyramids are!” Petya answered, jumping even faster until he stopped at the base of the pyramid, sitting on a stone. “By the way, what’s that over there?” he said, pointing at the sand. “That’s something strange.”
Lena went closer and carefully examined the sand. Something gleamed in the sun. She lifted a small pile of sand and discovered a strange little statue.
“This… this is an Egyptian god, look!” Lena said, holding the little figure with the mysterious smile in her hands. “But it doesn’t look like the ones we’ve seen in museums. It looks like… a key! Maybe it’s the key to solving the mystery of the pyramid!”
Petya jumped up to Lena.
“Really? Let me see!” he said, closely examining the statue. “Look, there are some strange symbols here. This must be something important!”
Masha and Artyom came closer, peering over Lena’s shoulder.
“Maybe this has something to do with those secret chambers Professor Skvortsov talked about?” Masha said thoughtfully. “He said there are hidden passages and chambers in the pyramid that no one has managed to find yet!”
“What if this really is the key to one of them?” Artyom turned to Lena. “You said this symbol on the statue is similar to the one on the ancient map you studied?”
Lena carefully studied the statue again and began to quietly decipher the symbol.
“This is an ancient symbol! It points to the northern side of the pyramid. We need to go there!”
The children hurried to the northern entrance of the pyramid, where, according to Lena, the secret chamber could be. They approached the massive stone doors and began searching for a place to insert the statue. Petya even climbed onto a stone to get a better view of all the corners.
“Something’s not right here,” he noticed. “It looks like the door isn’t just closed. Maybe we need to insert the statue somewhere?”
Lena closely examined the surface of the door and noticed a small indentation that perfectly fit the statue. She carefully placed the figure into the indentation, and suddenly, with a loud creak, the door began to slowly open.
“Wow!” everyone exclaimed at once. “We found it! The secret chamber of the pyramid!”
The door opened, and before them appeared a dark room. Inside, it was full of ancient objects: golden jewelry, papyri, and, of course, ancient artifacts.
“Wow! We really found the secret chamber!” Masha exclaimed happily. “We’re real archaeologists!”
Lena, Petya, Masha, and Artyom went inside, examining the finds and marveling at how many ancient secrets this world hides. But they knew that their adventures were just beginning, and many more exciting mysteries awaited them!
