A Surprise for Mom

One morning, while Illya was having breakfast, he noticed that his mom looked tired. She was talking to his dad about her day, explaining that she had a lot of important tasks at work and that she would need to handle a few difficult meetings. Illya listened carefully and realized that his mom was in for a very stressful day.

After his mom left for work, Illya had an idea. He loved his mom very much and wanted to make her day a little brighter. So he decided to prepare a small surprise for her. He wanted her to feel loved and supported when she came home.

The first idea that came to his mind was to draw a card for her. Illya grabbed his colored pencils and started drawing. He used bright colors and drew a sun, flowers, and a little heart. At the bottom, he wrote, "For my beloved mom, to brighten her day!" Illya felt that his gift would help cheer her up.

Once the card was ready, Illya decided to do something extra special. He knew his mom loved flowers, so he decided to find a beautiful flower outside. He put on his jacket, grabbed a small shovel, and headed to the garden near their house, where some flowers were growing. Soon, he found a lovely daisy, carefully dug it up, and brought it home.

Illya placed the daisy in a small vase he found in the kitchen. Now his surprise was complete: a card with warm words and a fresh flower. He set everything on the kitchen table where his mom would see it as soon as she returned.

All day, Illya waited eagerly for his mom to come home. He imagined her walking into the kitchen, seeing the surprise, and smiling. He was so excited for her to feel his love and support.

Finally, in the evening, the door opened, and Illya heard his mom’s footsteps. She looked tired, but when she entered the kitchen and saw the card and flower, her face lit up with a smile. She picked up the card and read Illya’s words, then hugged him warmly.

"Thank you, Illyusha! This is so sweet! You have no idea how much I needed this today," she said, hugging him.

Illya felt warmth and happiness inside. He realized that even a small surprise could bring great joy to a loved one. Now he knew that showing care could make someone’s day brighter and better.

That evening, as the whole family gathered for dinner, his mom placed the flower in the center of the table and left the card nearby. Illya was proud that his little gift had made his mom so happy. He understood that this small act was the most important thing he had done all day.

From that day on, Illya decided that he would make more surprises for his mom and his whole family. He knew that whenever someone close was feeling tired or down, he could do something simple but heartfelt to cheer them up. These were the moments that made the best memories.

Now Illya had a plan: every month, he would come up with a little surprise for his mom. He knew it wouldn’t take much effort, but it would make her so much happier.
