How to Make Natural Toothpaste

Children make natural toothpaste using baking soda, coconut oil, and mint. An exciting and useful kitchen experiment that helps understand how to use natural ingredients for personal care.

How to Make Natural Toothpaste

Lena and Petya were sitting in the kitchen, thinking about a new experiment. This time, they decided to make something useful and unusual—a natural toothpaste. Lena had found an interesting recipe that only included a few natural ingredients, and she suggested Petya try making the toothpaste by hand. It was not only an engaging activity but also a useful experience that would teach them how to use natural substances for daily care.

“Have you ever thought about what could be in toothpaste besides the usual chemicals?” asked Lena, taking a jar of coconut oil from the shelf. “We’ll use only natural ingredients to make our toothpaste, and it will be not only useful but also safe for health!”

Petya looked with interest at the coconut oil and other ingredients Lena had prepared:

“This looks really interesting! What ingredients are we going to use?”

Lena smiled:

“For starters, we need just a few things: baking soda, coconut oil, and mint leaves or mint oil. Baking soda helps clean teeth, coconut oil has antiseptic properties, and mint will give the toothpaste a fresh scent and taste.”

Petya was glad they would be using natural products and eagerly got to work. Lena took a small cup, added baking soda, and then the coconut oil.

“Now we need to mix these ingredients a bit to form a thick paste,” explained Lena. “Coconut oil melts at body temperature, so it will mix very easily with the baking soda.”

Petya helped Lena carefully mix the ingredients with a spoon. Gradually, the mixture became thicker and more homogeneous. Lena added a few drops of mint oil so that the paste would not only be useful but also smell nice.

“Mint will give the paste a refreshing effect that will last long after brushing your teeth,” said Lena, adding a few drops of oil to the mixture.

Petya, observing every movement, noticed:

“It looks like real toothpaste! Just without all the chemicals. How will we store it?”

Lena carefully poured the finished paste into a small jar with a lid:

“We can store the toothpaste in a closed jar or a container with a tight lid. The main thing is to keep it in a dry place so it doesn’t dry out.”

Petya looked with interest at the finished toothpaste:

“Cool! We made it ourselves, and it’s so natural. Now let’s test how it works!”

Lena happily agreed, and the kids went to the bathroom to check how their natural toothpaste worked. Lena took a toothbrush, applied some toothpaste, and started brushing her teeth. Petya also took a toothbrush and followed her example.
